A handsome pair of antique Regency mahogany open armchairs dating from circa 1820. The oblong gadrooned flame figured top-rails and carved and pierced crossbars above drop in seats, with scrolled arm rests and standing on sabre legs united by cross stretchers. The drop-in seats have been newly recovered. Price is for the pair.

Quite a few old repairs to the arms and seat rails but fairly solid and sturdy, a little movement. Other wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly recovered over existing upholstery which is sound.
