Unusual pair of large Gothic oak armchairs c.1880. Very solidly constructed in solid oak throughout. Broad flat-top backs and arms over quatrefoil pierced sides and deep board seats. Note the pointed shape at the rear of the backrests and seats. Raised on square legs with thick stretchers to the sides and rear. Some old wear and repairs, generally good condition with particularly nice colour to the timber, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
