This very elegant pair of Georgian Old Sheffield plate coasters dates circa 1800. Wirework wine coasters are very desirable and pairs are rather rare. The wirework sides forming arches under a wavy border.
Turned fruitwood base.
Green baize to the underside.

Condition:

Wirework in excellent condition.
Copper showing through at places.
Wood has a few marks.
The green baize is very good, most probably a Victorian replacement.

Diameter: 13.5cm / 5.3 inches.
Height: 3.5cm / 1.2 inches.
