Pair French Walnut & Marble Top Side Cabinets.
Superb pair of late 19th.c. French walnut and marble top side cabinets c.1890. Ideal as bedside cabinets or as lamp antique tables either side of a sofa perhaps. Original rose marble tops with a slightly raised border and serpentine sides, set within a moulded edge. Over single drawers and small cupboards with left hand opening doors. Bombé shaped sides and with symmetrically arranged walnut veneers within a crossbanded border, also repeated on the rear. Crisp carved detail to the drawer fronts and corners (note how the carvings are mirrored on the drawer fronts), shaped apron and long curving legs with scrolling feet. Oak drawer linings, original knobs and door latches. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
