A fabulous pair of silver plated wine coasters, also know as slides, the baize covered undersides being able to be slid down the dining table.

These are large in scale, clearly large enough to accommodate decanters and larger sized bottles with the woods measuring 4 3/4" in diameter. The rims are beautifully decorated with a raised grapevine border. Both marked "silver on copper".

Late Victorian or Edwardian in era, dating to around 1900. Excellent condition spanning 8 1/2" x 3" tall.
