A handsome and very stylish pair of large Corinthian Column candlesticks with an elegant continuous foliate garland wrapping around the columns.

Each is stamped on the side of the base "Sorley Glasgow" for William Sorley & William Steele trading as R & W Sorley, St Vincent Street & Renfield Street, Glasgow also at Buchanan Street, Glasgow.

Excellent condition, minor wear commensurate with age dating to c.1890, late Victorian in era. 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" standing 11" tall.
