Painted Pine Dressing Table & Chest Of Drawers.
Charming mid 19th.c. pine dressing table and chest of drawers retaining its original decorative paintwork c.1860. Adjustable dressing mirror with elaborately shaped top and brackets and two small drawers. Over a chest of drawers with two short and two long drawers. Original and beautiful scumbled paintwork with hand painted wood grain to resemble the satin birch or birds eye maple veneers of finer antique furniture from the period. With painted black stringing to the drawer fronts and edges and decorative detail to the corners. Original brass plate handles and escutcheons and turned bun feet. Excellent condition, simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
