Miniature French provincial armchair
A late 19th cent, miniature, French Provincial armchair with a hinged seat, this is in excellent original condition probably either a travelling salesman’s sample or made by an apprentice to show off his skills. The carvings and turnings are of very high quality. Sizes6 ½ “(17cms) wide, 6”(15cms) deep, 11 ½ “(29cms) high. Date circa 1890.
I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.

Today, my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.

I source my stock through many contacts built up over the years. This continues to consist of carefully chosen high quality 17th 18th and 19th century of furniture, particularly specialising in articles with their own fine original colour and also many interesting smaller items of the same periods.
