Circa 1870, mid Victorian gilt overmantel mirror. The gilded frame has a moulded top above a frieze with gesso in a foliate design. There is a wonderful curved frieze below this with moulding and the bevel edge contains the original mirror. There are 2 full turned columns on either side and the base has a gilded foliate design. The colour of the mirror is excellent the gilding is fresh and crisp.
