We are offering for sale this interesting and somewhat surreal landscape oil painting on canvas by the Midlands artist Michael Scott, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner. The painting depicts a landscape scene, with a small river or stream to the left hand side, with a rutted track leading to a ford across the river. There is abundant vegetation on the slopes leading to the river and a figure working n a cornfield to the right of the track. There are a couple of figures half way up the hill to the right.

Unfortunately we have been unable to discover any biographical details about the artist and, as we have so little details other than his name, cannot even find out when he was born or died, if indeed he has died, as there are so many people with this name. However, we believe that he was resident somewhere in the Midlands.

The painting has been framed in a 3" brown and gilt frame. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.

Condition: Excellent condition. There is very minor wear to the frame.
