A superb set of six mahogany dining chairs with in a Queen Anne style from the early half of 1900s, with an attractive pierced splat in the back. This set being particularly good with the very superior front shaped and detailed cabriole leg and the nicely turned stretchers between them. The rear legs also have a support turning and note the well detailed bottom to these back legs. Not just the usual square block leg but a serious cut above what is normally available. Woodwork is good and we have tidied some minor scuffing on the polish, now rewaxed and buffed they are a nice and tidy set, upholstery is useable and pretty tidy but most people may want this done in their of choice of fabric. This can of course be undertaken, £28 per chair plus vat and fabric of choice. This set of six chairs, four stand chairs and the two carvers with the well shaped arm are available as they are, as they are most useable and have quite a nice patina now they have been cleaned and waxed, and very few would be upset with the current condition. There are a number of antique tables available to go with them, a choice of about six at the current time, all of which boast the matching cabriole leg, not least the restored example they now sit around.
