This is what I believe to be a late 17 century European pillow sword. As it came to us uncleaned and unrestored. Double edged blade 79 cm long up to a crude steel cross guard, the grip wire bound with a brass band top and bottom “ very probably later added “ . The pommel typically 17 th century.
