This is a really good quality large Victorian gilt frame in super condition with its original gilt finish dating from around 1870.
The heavy frame is a good depth being 7 cms deep and measures 85 cms by 75 cms overall.
It has a good deep inner slip which has an aperture that measures 58.5 by 48. 3 and the opening to receive the picture in the slip at the back measures 51 cms by 61 cms.
It would be possible to use this frame for a larger work if you removed the slip which would make the aperture 66 cms by 56 cms and the opening for the painting by at the back 67 cms by 57 cms.
