Large Silver Engine Turned Photograph Frame


A fabulous large English photograph frame made from sterling silver with an all-over engine turned decoration, a popular choice for both a traditional or modern interior.
The silver is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1928, 90 years old together with the makers mark for the well renowned silversmith, Sanders and Mackenzie.
The silver wraps around the sides of the solid English Oak backing incorporating a folding easel back stand. This is the most sought after type of backing with the easel allowing the frame to sit either portrait or landscape, making it a versatile choice.
Excellent condition measuring 12" x 8 1/2" with a glazed aperture measuring approximately 10 3/4" x 7 3/8".
