This is an antique ship's serving table. An English, mahogany butler's stand with galley sides, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Of superb proportion with beautiful figuring
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks present delightful grain interest
Warm caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
Deeply profiled galley sides to the large serving tray
Set upon brass hinges, each side folds outwards to create an oval table
Each side replete with inset butler's grasps for ease of carrying
Tray fits neatly upon the table stand, legs united by a cross stretcher rail
This is a delightful antique ship's serving table with excellent colour and figuring. Graced with fine proportion and striking galley sides, this is a striking accompaniment to any lounge or dining room. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
