Half Hunter Pocket Watch – Hallmarked London 1929

An 18 Kt yellow gold J.W. Benson keyless wind, half hunter pocket watch, made in Switzerland and hallmarked for London 1929. This pocket watch is complete with original JW Benson box and original JW Benson sale paper from 1934.

Dial: The white enamel dial has black Arabic numerals with outer minute divisions. The dial has blued double hands. The protective glass is in good condition. To change the hands, push the button at the four.

Movement: The anchor lever movement has a compensation steel balance and blued steel balance spring and has fully screwed jewels. The movement is in good working condition however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch. The ¾ plate movement is signed: “Best London Make, By Warrant to H.M the Queen, J.W. Benson 62&64 Ludgate Hill, London”. And numbered: I8197.

Case: The pocket watch lies in an 18 Kt yellow gold half hunter case with an engine turned finish in excellent condition. The case is fully stamped for 18 Kt gold. The inner side of the case is signed J.W.B. and numbered: 8197.
