A very fine, rare, Gentleman's 14CT Solid Gold Hunter Cased Pocket Watch made by the very highly regarded and sought after IWC, the International Watch Company, Schaffhausen. This watch is an excellent example, in superb condition and very good working order.
The 14 carat solid gold hunter case is in excellent condition, plain gold with no engravings or other forms of personalisation. It is stamped inside the front cover with "14K/0.585/56" alongside Swiss control marks for 14 carat solid gold. It also bears the IWC trade mark and serial number. The inside of the rear cover and cuvette (inner dust cover) similarly marked. The cuvette also engraved with the maker's name "International Watch Co., Schaffhausen".
The white enamel dial is in excellent condition, it has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. It is signed by the maker "International Watch Co., Schaffhausen".
The good quality movement is in excellent working order. It also has the IWC trade mark. The movement is stem wound and lever set, the time being set by turning the winding crown after pulling out the small lever on the edge of the glass bezel between 4 & 5 o'clock.
The watch measures 53mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown). The weight is 104.0g.
An extremely nice example of a fine watch made by IWC.
