Circa 1880, exhibition quality inlaid mahogany ladies desk. The satinwood-banded, shaped top with a gilt-tooled green writing surface sits over a frieze with two deep and one shallow satinwood banded drawer. The drawers are all profusely inlaid with bellflower chains and ribbons, and a similar pattern occurs to the sides. It has inlaid quarter brackets to the front and is all standing on inlaid tapered supports.
