Inlaid Mahogany Breakfront Bookcase c.1905
Quality Edwardian glazed breakfront bookcase by the London makers Spillman & Co. c.1905. Solid mahogany top with inlaid stringing and a crossbanded edge. Over four glazed doors fitted inside with two adjustable shelves to each section (internal depth 11″/10½”), the slightly deeper centre having glass shelves and a fabric lining for display. Decorative inlaid frieze across the front, curved glazing bars to the centre doors, inlaid stringing to the edge of each door and another inlaid detail to the plinth below. Raised on tapering octagonal legs. Original maker’s label to the rear. Excellent colour and condition, key supplied.
