Probably made before the Second World War this solid steel bench has fabulous character and would serve as a superb centre piece island or against the wall statement piece. With two sliding doors(to which padlocks could be used) and a cavernous storage area inside this should make a real workhorse if used correctly. A lot of work has gone into attaining this polished steel finish. Bead blasted and many hours of buffing it is a great compromise after years in a engineering works. The net overall condition is a very used and pitted top, but still solid as a rock. The base is in good order with the sliding doors still working well. The interior has been painted with black hammerite and is clean to use.
