Good Victorian Davenport
An attractive Victorian figured walnut freestanding davenport with boxwood and ebony inlay. The domed top lifts to reveal a well fitted stationary compartment. The bow fronted inlaid fall with thumb moulded edge and an unusual oval brown leather writing surface with gold and blind tooling. The interior beautifully veneered in maple with 3 dummy drawers and 1 working drawer, and lock and keys.To the right side are 4 mahogany lined drawers with turned pulls with opposing false drawers to the left side. The front having an unusual oval panel with subtle boxwood and ebony inlay and stringing with supporting brackets and applied square columns. The shaped base raised on bun feet with brass sunken castors. In A1 condition, with keys.Delivery to most of U.K. £55. Dimensions:- Width...22.’’/ 56cm. Height…31’’/ 79cm. Depth…20’’/ 51cm.
