A very nice, Gold Plated Waltham Pocket Watch in immaculate condition and in good working order.
The Gold Plated, English made watch case is in excellent condition, showing little signs of wear. The rear cover has nice, engine turned engraving with a milled finish to the case side band. There is a central sheild cartouche that is free of engraved initials. Inside the rear cover is the case model name "Star" and the maker's name "Dennison Watch Case Co Ltd".
The good quality, high grade Waltham movement is in excellent condition and working order. It is signed "Am. Watch. Co, Waltham Mass, Bond Street". The serial number 8,099491 dating the watch to c1897. The watch is in excellent working order. The movement is stem wind and set.
The white enamel dial is in excellent condition, with only an extremely faint hairline from the centre to 9 o'clock. It has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. The dial is signed "Waltham USA". It has a lovely set of blued steel, original hands.
