Gold pair cases, verge - Grayhurst, London 1802


MOVEMENT Excellent quality gilded verge movement, fully signed and numbered (2381). Diamond endstone to the balance cock and all protected by a removable gilt brass dustcap, which is also signed and with the same serial number. Good original condition and running well.
DIAL White enamel. Reasonable condition but repairs on the edge at 7 and 9. Nice matching gold hands.
INNER CASE Hallmarks for 18ct gold, London, 1801/2, maker IR. Excellent condition with just a little wear to the bow. Good high dome crystal with no scratches or other damage. The case snaps shut nicely.
OUTER CASE Gold hallmarks matching the inner. The hinge and catch are again fine and the case snaps shut. Excellent overall condition with just some light scratches on the back.
The cases, excluding movement but including the crystal, weigh 75 gms.
