Attractive George III silver toddy/punch ladle with a twisted baleen handle, c.1770. The bowl of the ladle has pretty embossed decoration of flowers and foliage and is inset with a gold plated George II silver coin dated 1758. There is a vacant cartouche on the front. Unmarked as is common but tested as silver.

It measures 13" (33cm) long and 2 1/4" (5.5cm) wide across the bowl. Condition is very good with no damage or repairs. There is a little rubbing to the gilding on the coin. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
