-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-
A fine quality Sheraton period George III mahogany sideboard.
c1790.
Break-front and bow-front in design, having extremely attractive inlaid designs, with tulip-wood crossbanding, satin-wood inlay and boxwood stringing to the legs.
The figuring and richness of colour to the mahogany is outstanding.
To the break-front centre are two drawers, flanked by, to the left side a cupboard, and to the right side a deep drawer / cellarette, appearing externally as two drawers.
Original brass gallery rail to the back, having elegant urn finials.
Standing on tapering legs with spade feet.
Original finish to the wood, with a wonderful warm patina.
Original locks and escutcheons. Replacement handles, age and stylistically correct.
Excellent antique condition.

Height of the brass gallery-130cm. Height-91.5cm.

Depth-68.5cm.
