A particularly handsome antique George III mahogany tray top side cabinet or night stand dating from circa 1790. With mahogany banding and ebony and boxwood stringing to front and a galleried tray top with pierced carry handles. With a cupboard over a single drawer with attractive swan neck brass drop handles. It has beautifully figured mahogany to the front and top with very good colour and patina and stands on square feet. This piece would have originally started life as a commode / chamber pot cupboard and has been converted into a side cabinet at some point. A high quality piece it would make a lovely bedside cabinet, hall cupboard or TV unit.

Good colour and patina. Small mends to veneers in places. Other general wear and marks commensurate with age. The cabinet door needs a little push to close it back into place when dropped down (not loose).
