Georgian Mahogany Elbow Chair

Super quality and generously proportioned late George III mahogany carver or elbow chair, of particularly good weight of timber, having a shaped ‘bar back’ cresting rail, scroll arms, a tapestry covered drop-in seat, and ring turned legs. Ideal for use with a desk.
Width 21″ (53cm) Depth 22″ (56cm) Height (overall) 36″ (91cm) Height (seat) 19” (48cm)
Condition and Details of Restoration
This chair is in original and completely sound structural condition. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner it retains its original colour and patina. There are some minor old marks, but nothing particularly noticeable. The seat cover, while not necessarily original, certainly dates to the 19th Century we have left it on in the interests of authenticity, but would be happy to advise regarding re-upholstery if required.
