Georgian Mahogany & Marquetry Chest Of Drawers
An elegant, very handsome Georgian mahogany chest of drawers, of excellent quality.
c1800-1820.
The chest has wonderful rich figuring to the drawer fronts. Having two short over three long graduating, cock-beaded drawers, each having boxwood stringing inlay.
The drawers have the early original paper lining. All locks and escutcheons are present.
With very pretty inlaid marquetry designs above the the two top drawers, depicting musical instruments, with an ebony and boxwood string frieze.
Ornate brass handles.
Standing on bracket feet.
In excellent antique condition, with general expected, but minimal signs of age and use, lovely rich colour to the wood.
Very solid sturdy and strong.
Bees-waxed and polished.
