Antique Georgian early 18th Century crossbanded walnut chest of drawers.
This is a lovely chest, that is full of age, charm and character.
No loose joints and the oak lined drawers slide freely.
Good shape and fantastic proportions. Charming historic waviness and distortion.
Full of age charm and character.
Overall maximum dimensions: 101.5cmW x 58cmD x 92cmH.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. There are no keys and the locks are consequently untested. Later handles. There are historic extinct woodworm holes (expected for 18C walnut/oak), that we have treated for good measure. Some veneer replacement, imperfections and repairs, typical and to be expected for period burr walnut. The top LH drawer front has been historically replaced with an alternative period front with a slightly different grain pattern.
