Georgian Convex Dial Fusee Sam White Bideford
A fine quality English Georgian convex dial wall antique clock. A slim mahogany case with a cast brass bezel surround and domed glass. A painted dial signed 'Sam White, Bideford'. An 8-day duration timepiece mechanism with shaped plates. Circa 1830.
Samuel White (father and son) worked from 1771-1841 as documented in Ponsfords' 'Devon Clockmakers' book. They worked in Torrington and Bideford.
Width 14 1/2 " / 37 cms Depth 5 " / 13 cms.
