George IV Gillows Design Chair


An early 19th century George IV mahogany single chair in a Gillows of Lancaster design.
The heavy quality chair is of large proportions with turned and reeded legs to the front and carved and fluted legs to the back.
The chair has a stuff-over upholstered seat covered in a worn green coloured material.
This solid quality chair is in good condition, the same chair can be seen in the book "Gillows of Lancaster & London 1730-1840" page 221 plate 204. (Circa 1825)
