George III Style Mahogany Breakfront Bookcase
An impressive and large George III style mahogany breakfront bookcase. The moulded dentil cornice with swan neck pediment over four large glazed doors each having arched & square astragals, closing strip & brass escutcheons. The doors open to a cream painted interior with 3 adjustable shelves to each section. The base having 4 graduated and cockbeaded drawers to the centre flanked by single drawers above panelled doors with applied mouldings and turned patrae. The whole in very good condition, retaining the original brass swan neck handles, working locks with keys and re-polished in our own workshops using traditional French polishing methods.
This large bookcase transports in 2 large sections plus the swan neck pediment. Dimensions:- Max.Height…97’’/ 247cm. Width…73’’/ 186cm. Depth of Base…20’’/ 51cm. Depth of Top…14’’/ 36cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £110
