A fine George III hallmarked silver snuff box being of rectangular form with rounded edges, the hinged lid cast in high relief with a figurative landscape within scrolled borders, gilt interior, with basket weave effect sides and underside, hallmarked for London 1809 Measures approx 7.5cm wide. Silvermakers mark is not visible but from its age and design it is likely to be a Joseph Wilmore piece. Particularly with the basket weave design, the figurative hinged cover and the scrolled borders.

In very good condition with very little wear. The basket weave is in excellent condition with no wear. There is some slight rubbing to the cover but very little considering its age and is still quite well defined. This piece has been very well preserved. Gilt interior. Thick gauge of silver, Weighs 125 grams of silver. Good strong hinge. Good quality piece.
