A late 18th century George III mahogany secretaire chest with a bookcase top.
The secretaire chest has a fitted top drawer with a fall front writing surface, inside there are seven mahogany drawers with rosewood cross banding and four pigeon holes. The chest has three more oak lined drawers with replacement period style brass handles. The bookcase top has a pair of glazed panel doors and three adjustable shelves that slide into position. The top has a dental cornice with a cross banded frieze. The bookcase has had the polish sympathetically restored.
