A fine figured mahogany Regency Secretaire Bookcase. The top section having a moulded and cross banded cornice above a pair of astragal glazed doors which open to reveal 3 mahogany faced and adjustable shelves. The lower section having a secretaire drawer with original brass ring pulls and fitted with 5 drawers and 5 pigeon holes with baize writing surface. The panelled doors open to a pull out slide drawer and a useful storage area. The whole decorated with subtle ebony beading and inlay with original ring turned feet and complete with brass closing strips, escutcheons and working locks and keys. Fine condition and patina. Dimensions:- Height…85.5’’/ 217cm. Width…36.75’’/ 93cm. Depth…18.75’’/ 48cm.
