George III Mahogany Partners Desk
A good George III figured mahogany one piece partners desk. The rectangular cross banded and ebony strung top retaining an old inset hand dyed green leather writing surface with blind and gold tooling. To one side are 9 graduated and cock beaded drawers with brass pulls and unusual linings of pine and cedar. The reverse having 3 conforming drawers and 2 cupboards with further ebony stringing and open via locks and keys. The whole raised on an off set moulding with shaped bracket feet with later castors below. The sides have applied mouldings and the whole with working locks and keys. Ready for use in the home or office. Dimensions:- Height …31’’/ 79cm. Width …59.5’’/ 151cm. Depth …36.5’’/ 62.5cm. Kneehole Height…25’’/ 63.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £75.
