Circa 1800, George III mahogany and inlaid tea caddy. The sarcophagus shaped caddy has a stylish chevron inlay on the top in multiple woods, a flower petal in the centre, and there is inlay on the fore edge and gables. The top opens to reveal a velvet lined lid, 2 containers and an original ruby coloured mixing bowl. There is a diamond shaped escutcheon on the front and 2 original cast brass handles on the sides, all standing on 4 cast brass ball and claw feet. Good colour and great size.
