A charming George I style burr walnut bureau of compact proportions. Dating to c.1890. Of very good construction in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The sides, fall front and drawer fronts are all cross banded, additionally the fall front is inlaid with feather banding inlay. The fall opens to reveal a fitted interior with a central lockable cupboard, small drawers, stationary compartments and a well. The fall itself is also lockable (key supplied). Beneath is an arrangement of 2 short over 2 long drawers, all fitted with their original brass handles and all lockable (key supplied). The whole piece stands on bracket feet. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops and now offered for sale in very good original condition, with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.
