This is a French scroll end Directoire style kingsize bed with all original hand painted scenes in tact and very decorative, circa 1900
Very good solid bed, well made and in good condition, well turned columns and the scroll is a lovely decorative feature, finished with the typical diamond carvings for the Directoire style to the head and footboards, but also the original side rails too.
The bed will hold a standard 5' kingsize mattress or you could use it as a standard double within the frame itself ( get in touch for further details if you're not sure what II mean ! ).
The headboard is 54'' high The footboard is 33'' high The maximum width of the bed is 59''
