Fine quality Regency mahogany secretaire bookcase having an out swept reeded cornice above a brass inlaid frieze, a pair of quality mahogany panelled doors with reeded columns , original pierced brass escutcheons opening to reveal three adjustable shelves with reeded edges. The base having a secretaire top drawer opening to reveal a fully fitted interior of six drawers, eight pigeon holes and a door to the centre all boasting wonderful satinwood stringing inlay, original baize writing surface, three graduated cockbeaded drawers with stringing inlay, original brass escutcheons and outstanding Regency brass lions head handles, flanked by reeded columns and standing on splay feet with a shaped apron.
