Fine Louis XV Rococo French Painted King-Size Bed

A fine quality painted walnut French king-size bed.
c1890.
This very elegant bed is in the Louis XV style, having wonderful Rococo designs.
Made of walnut, having a lovely curvaceous head and footboard, with very elaborate finely carved shell, scroll and foliate motifs.
With an exceptional, exquisitely carved shell cresting to the headboard.
Shaped and carved side-rails, echoing the design of the footboard.
Standing on very elegant acanthus and scroll carved feet. Again with exquisite crisp carving, of superior quality.
The paint on this very striking bed is a pale, light apple green, with off white to the carvings and mouldings. Having an aged antique finish.
With a custom made pine slatted base.
Very easy to assemble.
Completely dismantles into a headboard a footboard, two side-rails, the pine slats stack.
In excellent antique condition. Solid, Sturdy and strong.
Fits a UK 5ft king-size mattress.
