A fabulous late 19th century American Tramp Art wall mirror, made from re-used materials such as cedar cigar boxes and packing crates, giving this mirror a magical and unique look. The scrolling pediment giving the appearance that it is cleverly floating above the mirror, decorated with stylized hearts and starts, intricately carved throughout. Retaining the original bevelled edged mirror plate. In wonderful original condition throughout.

Dimensions: Height: 34 Inches - 86.25 cm, Width: 26 Inches - 66 cm

Tramp Art (1880 - 1940) is a labour intensive and dedicated craft of pyramid type carving covering every surface. A highly textured zig-zag appearance constructed of recycled materials such as packing crates, cigar boxes or anything that could be re-worked. The layers of carving used to create starts hearts and 3 dimensions decoration are typical of Tramp Art.
