Excellent Silver 0.800 J.W.C. Schaffhausen Open Face Pocket Watch Swiss 1898

You are bidding on an excellent silver 0.800 open face pocket watch, Swiss made by J.W.C. (Sister company of IWC - International Watch Company) in 1898.
Dial: The white enamel dial has clear black Arabic numerals with black red outer 5-60 minute divisions, and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The dial has antique style hands and the protective glass is in good condition.
Movement: The high-grade movement with polished steel regulator bimetallic compensation balance has a club foot anchor lever escapement. The movement is signed: JWC. The movement is in good working condition however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique watch. It is numbered: 119227.
Case: The watch lies in a silver 0.800 case with a nice engine turned monogram free finish. The inner side of the case and cuvette is stamped for silver 0.800, and signed JWC stamp and numbered:135911.
Diameter: 50 mm – Signed: JWC – 1898 – Weight: 92.8 g.
