A nice Silver Pair Cased Verge Pocket Watch made in Birmingham and dating from c1841.
This is a nice collector's item, it is not in working order and does have some imperfections.
The outer silver case is in good condition. It is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "JW", the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "S" for 1841/42.
The movement is unsigned by the maker, but not currently in working order therefore in need of repair/restoration.
The dial has some hairlines as can be seen.
