A rare, Georgian Antique English Sterling Silver Marrow Scoop made by Hester Bateman in London and dating from c1787/88.
It has a nice beaded edge (see photo).
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "HB" in script for Hester Bateman (part mis-struck), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark and date letter "m" for 1787/88.
It measures just under 10" inches (250mm) in length.
