A very good English Silver Hunter Cased Pocket Watch made for a New Zealand retailer - Cyril K Whale Ltd, Christchurch, New Zealand.
The plain silver hunter case fully hallmarked with the case maker's mark "P.J", the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "h" for 1923/24. The case with the serial number 52390 to match the movement proving both are original and have been together since new.
The English Lever movement signed "Made Expressly for Cyril K. Whale Ltd, Christchurch, N.Z." alongside the serial number 52390.
The white enamel dial signed with the retailer's name " Cyril K Whale Ltd, Jewellers, Christchurch".
The watch is in excellent condition and working order.
