Elegant and Fine George III Library Wing Chair

A wonderfully elegant and high quality Georgian winged library or desk chair with a solid mahogany frame and retaining its original brass casters.
The chair has been newly upholstered in heavyweight ‘Escape Shantaung’ old gold upholstery fabric by Philip Kaufmann – an extremely expensive and thickly woven fabric with a high percentage of silk which gives it a wonderful sheen, long life and a high martindale.
The chair frame is original, solid and sound and has beautiful lines and proportions.
Very well padded and of a good size, the chair is supremely comfortable.
The seat is wide and deep and the back has a gentle supportive rake.
Such a beautiful chair made by skilled hands in c. 1760 and of beautifully linear, elegant and eye catching form.
Dimensions are:
29 inches wide, 34 inches deep and 38 inches high.
Floor to seat is 18 inches.
For metric please multiply by 2.5 I describe and photograph my pieces accurately and with the aim that on arrival each will exceed expectations.
I operate a full refund guarantee and am always happy to give free, honest and friendly advice.
