Edwardian Walnut Writing Bureau
Wonderfully neat Edwardian walnut writing bureau with an arrangement of one small drawer above two deep drawers with decorative brass handles and escutcheons. The crossbanded fall front, complete with working lock and key, rests on two pull out slides with little ring handles. Its interior has four small pigeon holes, 4 small drawers, 2 of which conceal another 2 and a cupboard with working lock and key. All the drawers are constructed with hand dovetail joints and run smoothly. In excellent condition with only marks/ scuffs in line with age and use. The wonderful rich colouring and amazing graining enhance this stylish bureau and its size means it doesn’t take up too much space and can offer a great home office.
