Here is a most impressive Edwardian sideboard of immense quality.
c1900.
This oustanding sideboard has an elegant bow-front incorporating a central drawer, with cabinet below, having exceptional marquetry panels to each door.
Profusely inlaid with stunning neo-classical designs, depicting classical urns, with floral, foliate, swag and scroll designs. The bow-front doors open to reveal a single shelved interior.
Below is an open bow-front galleried display area.
Flanked by oval panelled, bevelled mirror fronted cabinet doors, with neo-classical marquetry designs below. Each door opens to reveal two shelved interiors, giving ample storage for a large dinner service
This elegant sideboard shows outstanding Edwardian craftmanship.
The rosewood has a wonderful rich deep colour.
In excellent condition. Slightly adapted for modern living. The top towards the back, has filled holes for where originally a top section would have stood. Also appears to have been shortened slightly. Making it a very useable antique item, of outstanding quality.
