We are offering for sale this tall, heavy and elegant Edwardian Bronze & Ormolu Table Lamp, in the Regency taste, with its new Velvet shade from the makers of the Downton Abbey, Peaky Blinders, Mr. Selfridge etc. lampshades.

The lamp is comprised of sections of ormolu and bronze, with the circular base being bronze, topped with an ornate ormolu foliate socle with upturned edge. The corinthian column is bronze and its circular ornate capital is in ormolu.

The shade is in the new 'Sophia' style and is made of patterned velvet in shades of grey, brown, warm cream and black, with black braid, gold fringe overlaid with black fringe and gold tassels.

The lamp has been rewired in black braided antique style flex and has all new fittings, including safer switched lampholder, shade carrier and black plug. As with all electrical items it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Height to top of shade: 38 1/4" - 97.2cm

Diameter of shade: 17" - 43.2cm

Diameter of base: 8 5/8" - 21.95cm

Condition: Very good. There is no damage to the base and the shade is new.
